Howto light a safety match

A safety match is a match that can only be lit by striking the match head against the side of the match box (i.e. it cannot be lit by striking it against any other objects).

- Hold safety match with your dominant hand.
- Hold match box in your non-dominant hand.
- Swiftly strike the head of the match against the side of the match box
- important safety note: strike in the direction away from your body to prevent burning yourself.
