/usr/share/keymaps/i386/

or

/usr/share/kbd/keymaps/i386/
loadkeys /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/i386/azerty/fr.kmap.gz
  • Note : some systems may have fr.map.gz instead of fr.kmap.gz
